Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation invites applications for
Master’s thesis position in applying different machine learning based methods for analysis of data on electrochemical measurements of biological molecules
A Master’s thesis position in applying machine learning based methodology for experimental data analysis is available at the Microsystems technology group (School of Electrical Engineering) at Aalto University.
Our research focuses on investigating electrochemical properties of various carbon nanoforms, computational assessment of their properties and performance as well as using these materials for different sensing applications in medical technology.
Your role and goals
We are looking for a Master’s student to work with us on devising ways to utilize machine learning based methodologies for analyses of experimental data coming from electrochemical measurements.
Your experience and ambitions
We offer a high-tech and scientifically ambitious working environment, with challenging and interesting topics related to carbon based nanomaterials and their electrochemistry, computational materials science as well as several biomedical applications. In return, we would like the student to have:
• Suitable studies (theoretical or experimental) in related fields such as machine learning, computational physics, applied mathematics or material science
• Excellent study record
• Good English & team working skills
Your network and team
The student will be based in Micronova, the joint microelectronics and nanotechnology research center of Aalto University and VTT, the largest cleanroom facility in northern Europe. More information about our group can be found in:
