The Finnish Centre for Artificial Intelligence (FCAI) and Aalto Digi Platform are organizing an AI-related exhibition in the Dipoli exhibition area from 15 November 2019 to 15 December 2019. The aim of this exhibition is to showcase artificial intelligence related research and arts in Aalto for the grand public and simultaneously present a refreshing take of what AI methods actually offer, and illustrate these in a realistic and interactive manner.
Your role and goals
We are looking for a creative student or designer to co-create multiple exhibition pieces for the upcoming Aalto AI exhibition in Dipoli. The final exhibition pieces are objects, illustrations and videos or something tangible with a full user interface. The subject for the project will come from the researchers; you will refine and illustrate their ideas together with the research teams.
Your experience and ambitions
The ideal candidate is a Master’s level student in New Media/Visual Communication/Interaction Design. Experience with the basics of machine learning, service design, rapid prototyping, and openness to learn more about artificial intelligence is a plus. If you are interested in science communications and capable of independent project work you should apply right away! We are ready to compensate you on a worked hour basis; we expect this project to take approximately 15 hours weekly.
