We are now inviting applications for a Tenure track position in Industrial Management, Innovation Management. For the successful applicant this position offers an excellent opportunity to build a multifaceted academic career in a dynamic and international environment.
The changing business environment, rapidly developing technologies and new forms of RDI –activity provide enterprises with both challenges and opportunities. There is a critical need for research-based innovation management in the aim to understand organizational innovation capability, intrapreneurship and process acceleration.
Constant changes in the business environment require enterprises to continuously develop their innovation capability and intrapreneurship. Simultaneously, development of data-analytics, and AI, facilitate the reinvention of ways to manage innovation processes. Together these factors challenge existing innovation management theories and practices. They are calling into question fundamental assumptions about innovation, agency for innovation, and the relationship between innovation processes and outcomes.
We are looking for candidates who have evidence of academic research and interest in research in the subject area of innovation activity and innovation management. Your profile and requirements
The Tenure Track position is research-orientated, but the appointed person will also acquire external funding, deliver high-quality teaching and theses supervision, actively participate in activities within the scientific community and university administration, as well as create societal impact through their work. The teaching and supervision of the task is focused on the degree programs in the field of industrial management in the Bachelor's, Master's and M.Sc. in engineering programs. The scope of responsibilities is determined according to the career stage of the successful candidate and agreed in more detail in the Annual Work Plan.
We are looking for candidates with a suitable doctoral degree (PhD) together with, excellent academic merit as well as evidence of the ability to publish high quality scientific research. We are particularly interested in applicants who have produced excellent research and whose interests are interdisciplinary and who have evidence of, or the potential to provide, high quality teaching. In addition, the evaluation of applicants' merits emphasizes experience and evidence of obtaining external research funding and stakeholder and business co-operation. Applicants will also be evaluated on the basis of relevance and innovativeness of their preliminary research plan.
