As an important planning tool, one focus of the professorship will be the analysis and modelling of complex interactions in the overall system. A strong focus is on the effects of digitization and automation in the transportation and mobility system in the sense of a technology assessment. Particular research topics of interest include transportation flow simulation, transportation demand models, Integrated space use and transportation models and similar topics. In teaching, the professorship represents the fields of transportation planning, traffic engineering, and modelling as well as mobility management in the Bachelor‘s, Master‘s and Doctoral programs in Civil and Environmental Engineering. In addition to relevant teaching experience, the position holder is expected to be highly committed to research-oriented academic teaching. The willingness and ability to acquire third-party funding and to cooperate within the framework of the interfaculty Centre for Mobility and Digitization as well as with other research groups at TU Wien is a prerequisite.
