The mission of the Dr. Theo and Friedl Schöller Research Center for Business and Society is to perform innovative top-level research in the fields of business and economics. With the financial support of the Theo and Friedl Schöller Foundation, the Research Center awards up to four Schöller Fellowships each year. The Fellowships are designed to enable scholars of exceptional promise and demonstrated accomplishment to pursue research projects relevant to business and society.
The overall goals of the Dr. Theo and Friedl Schöller Research Center are to break new ground in the areas of “Creating Cohesion – Designing Change – Realizing Innovation”, to create and cultivate an international research network of outstanding scholars, and to establish vibrant research collaborations with local roots and global reach. Ultimately, the Research Center aims to make a lasting contribution to responsible leadership in business and society.
The selection of the Schöller (Senior) Fellows is based on the following criteria:
Each Fellow is linked to at least one Institute, Center, or Research Field of the School of Business and Economics and shall contribute to its reputation with her/his research.
The Dr. Theo and Friedl Schöller Research Center for Business and Society provides its Fellows with funds of up to 50,000 € (Senior Fellow) and up to 20,000 € (Fellow), respectively, for the realization of their research project.
Schöller Fellows are expected to contribute with their experience and competence to the research activities of the School of Business and Economics in Nürnberg. Adding to this, Schöller Fellows are expected to:
